Our customer needs to obtain a hydrophilic (absorbent and smoothly wetted surface) on the large diameter of the Ductor Roller. In order for the part to function properly, it is critical that they achieve the specified smoothness and Ra value after shot blasting. They were eliminating all in-house metal finishing processes. This electropolishing process had been used for over two decades and they needed a reliable source that could replicate or improve on established quality levels.


We electropolished the Ductor Roller Assembly, providing a variety of stock removal options. We determined the exact amount by running pre-production samples and final testing by the end customer. Our customer relied heavily on our engineering staff to duplicate this and other electropolishing processes. They chose Able Electropolishing.
