| An Introduction: |
 |
| Since 1954, we have electropolished a huge variety of stainless process equipment, for all the industries listed above. Today, the cleaning, smoothing and decontamination aspects of electropolishing are becoming essential in improving production rates in process plants. Increased use of chlorinated cleaning agents, demands for longer production runs, more accurate product metering and reduced downtimes have forced attention to the stainless surfaces. |

| Less Corrosion: |
| Our process is proven to enhance corrosion resistance of the full range of stainless steels. We process not only 304 and 316 stainless, but the full range of precipitating hardness grades, free machining and 400 series as well. Our process has been validated using ASTM A 967, ASTM-117 salt spray, SEMASPECS 90120403B-STD (ESCA), 91060573B-STD (AES and 92120401B-STD (SEM), Revision Feb. 22, 1993 as well as ASTM Test Method F-1372 (SEM). |

| Improved Smoothness: |
| Generally, a smoother more native surface allows product to flow easier without clogging and with longer cycles between cleaning. Able Electropolishing is used to improve Ra finishes to meet what is perhaps the toughest of standards in the semiconductor industry. Most use a profilometer to validate surface improvement. Important to note here and in our tutorials that best results are achieved often in combination with skilled surface preparation. |
